REPUBLICAN CLUB MARCH MOVIE:
“GREENLAND”
The Republican Club will present the movie “Greenland” in the Peacock Theater at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18. Admission is free and everyone is invited! This is a nonpartisan event.
“Greenland” is a 2020 American disaster-thriller staring Gerard Butler, Morena Baccarin, Roger Dale Floyd and Scott Glenn. A family must fight for survival as a planet-threatening comet hurtles toward Earth. Gerard Butler stars as a structural engineer who travels across a crumbling America with his estranged wife and son to reach a secret bunker in Greenland as the comet’s arrival wreaks global destruction. In a desperate quest to reach safety the family must navigate a brutal world of widespread fear, panic, and social collapse.
Film critic Matthew Monagle of The Austin Chronicle said: "Greenland might be a B-movie at heart, but in keeping at least one toe on the ground at all times, the filmmakers craft something that punches well above its weight class."
“Greenland” is rated PG-13 and runs for 119 minutes. For information contact Dianne Brackin at dbrack925@gmail.com or 925-300-3144.
